Baltic are a self-described 'Power-Rock' band from Sydney. Comprised of musicians previously from predominantly punk and hardcore bands, Baltic is a bit of a change of pace for most of the quartet. Regarding the name's origin, vocalist Ari explained, "I was really into excessive, powerful names like Boston and Chicago so I thought Baltic was sweet."

Dave, Tim and Ari previously played as the band Nintendo Police, though Dave did vocals and Ari played the drums. Ari has also played drums for Arkanoid and did vocals for Worse Off. Tim has also played in the band Guts, and some others though they escape me at the moment. Dave previously played bass for Headless Horsemen.
