Mighty Beehive records

Today I'm gonna talk about Mighty Beehive Records. Mighty Beehive is a small distro/record label based in Gosford run by Matt Ford, who also does the excellent and hilarious zine 'Nerf Jihad'.

The label focuses mostly on punk rock of the poppish variety and country/folksy punk... he stocks a lot of stuff that isn't available anywhere else in Australia and he makes it his mission to not sell anything over $10. For this reason he doesn't really stock vinyl beyond a few 7"s (as much as he would love to, it's just too expensive to ship over) and he mainly stocks cheap as chips CDs and demos from a wide variety of rad bands. He also stocks a couple of zines.

The bands that he currently stocks include... The Bananas, Boogdish, Defiance Ohio, Eat This McKinley!, Ghost Mice, The Gibbons, Hot New Mexicans, North Lincoln, Operation: Cliff Clavin, Rosa, The Thaw, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb, Extra Limb, Kampei, The New Justice Team, Up The Voltage, Allergic to Bullshit, Drunken Boat, Karate For Kids, Mumbler and One Reason. Heaps of bands you've probably never heard but definitely should hear!
