Run Amok are a Brisbane-based melodic punk band. They formed in 2003 and settled on their current lineup in 2005. Some members had previously come from Mackay in North Queensland, and the band had the names 'Jake's Mum' and 'Run Amuck' before they struck upon their current moniker.
LINEUP
Jack Thomas - vocals, guitar
Chris Pollack - vocals, bass
Dave Box - guitar, vocals
Hayden Robins - drums
Hayden previously played in the band Loss4Words, other members had previously been in other bands too but when I asked them what ones they said "none worth mentioning in comparison" so I guess I'll just have to leave it at that, haha. Previous members include - Luke Tucker (bass), Ben Hale (bass) and Dave Stapylton (drums).
They have toured North Queensland with Fat Man's Cleavage and Severed Link - which is pretty much one of the few times I've ever heard of punk bands touring that area, so that's pretty cool. The band won the QUT Battle of the Bands last year and plan to release another CD later this year.
