Stereo City EP
December 7th 2006 10:57
A few months ago Stereo City finally brought a CD out. It was definitely about fucking time!
Unfortunately it’s only five songs… but luckily they included ‘Real Revolution’, otherwise I think some heads may have been busted. This song is brilliant, anyone who’s seen them will tell you this, it’s a real standout track and it sends shivers down my spine when I see it live.
It’s also testament to the band’s ability and the CD’s great production that the rest of the tracks hold up too… ‘Graze’ is a great song, and so is the opener, ‘Bridges’. This is snotty punk with a big rock sound, really solid and if you haven’t heard this band at all then you’ve been missing out.
Stereo City recently lost their drummer, Bibs, and are currently looking for a new one. They have a replacement at the moment (Koby, guitarist from Bagster, switching it up on the drums) but I'm not really sure how many shows they'll be doing until they get a new drummer. They're a tops band so hopefully they'll be fully back into the swing of things soon enough!
