To hear two songs...
'Graze' and 'Real Revolution' - click to hear.
Stereo City are a rock n rolling snotty punk band fronted by Luke 'Shirker' (funnily enough, of 'The Shirkers, onceuponatime!). They formed around 2003 I think. They're a really good band and are really worth checking out.
CURRENT MEMBERS
Luke - Vocals, guitar
Ryan - guitar, backing vocals
Knibbsy - bass, backing vocals
Luke, Ryan and Knibbsy all played in the Alleybrats before Stereo City, and it was pretty much an earlier version of the band - even playing a least one of the same songs ('Real Revolution'). When they became Stereo City I think a guy called Johann played guitar with them for a little while too. I don't know who their first drummer was.
Ryan also played in The Mad Dash before that. And Luke also had another band, 'The Breakout', for a while.
Colin Bible (or 'Bibs' as he is mostly known) played the drums for them up until fairly recently. As far as I know they haven't got a new drummer yet but no doubt they will soon, cause the band kicks arse and I hope they don't stop! Bibs plays/has played in a whole heap of other bands - Toe to Toe, Demolition Highstyle, Crank and Rocks. He currently plays in AVO.
Ryan posted this on the band's myspace recently...
"As most of you priobably know, our drummer Bibs had decided to call it a day. We'd like to say huge thanks for everything he's done with us and the best of luck in the future. We'll be taking a few months off to look for someone else and work on some new material. Our new stuff already seems had a bit of a differen't ring to it ... We'll keep you posted as to when we'll be back in action on the live front..."
They recently released their first proper CD on Perth label 'Out of the Loop'
